For years, I suppressed my emotions, often relying on medication to manage what I couldn’t face. It wasn’t just me—my family also struggled with the weight of unspoken feelings. My mother, in particular, lived a life where stress and suppressed emotions took a significant toll on her body. She didn’t have the opportunity to confront and release her emotions, which ultimately led to her body giving out.
This experience taught me a vital lesson: unaddressed emotions don’t just fade—they linger, affecting every part of your being.
When I began tapering off medication, I had to confront emotions I hadn’t allowed myself to feel for years. The process wasn’t easy, but it was transformative.
